Chu, Lien in District 4 Runoff

The results are in for District 4, and they’ve got Kansen Chu, Mayor Chuck Reed’s opposition in 2000, and newcomer Hon Lien (Reed’s endorsee) in a runoff. Chu and Lien will battle head to head in a special June 5 contest to represent North San Jose city council. “From here, it’s like the Super Bowl,” said Hon Lien’s political advisor, Victor Ajlouny. As Lien sang a celebratory karaoke version of “Hoa Trinh Nu” at her election night fandango at Grand Palace Restaurant, Ajlouny continued: “From here, it’s 0-0, and it’s anyone’s game.”
